Reusable Water Bottle Distribution in Commemoration of World Refugee Day
Yola, Adamawa State
In commemoration of World Refugee Day, the Executive Director of the Mara Ngorheme Regreen Initiative (MANGRI) spearheaded in collaboration with other CSOs, a special outreach activity focused on environmental sustainability and youth engagement. As part of the event, MANGRI distributed reusable water bottles to school children in an effort to reduce the widespread use of plastic sachet water, commonly known as "pure water," which contributes significantly to plastic pollution in local communities.
The event also paid tribute to displaced populations and vulnerable children, promoting cleaner, safer environments while advocating for climate action and community resilience
