The exhibition, themed 'Can We Breathe?', took place from the 8th to the 15th of July 2025 and brought together young artists, creatives, NYSC members, and development advocates to explore critical societal and environmental themes through visual art.
Executive Director of MANGRI participated in the interactive dialogue sessions, encouraging creative expression as a tool for advocacy, healing, and environmental awareness.
This initiative, supported by the Ford Foundation, emphasized the power of art in social transformation, with meaningful conversations around justice, climate action, and youth empowerment.
It was a dynamic, inspirational event celebrating local talent while promoting a deeper understanding of community development through the lens of art and expression.

NDLEA Barracks, Adamawa StateInstitutional Reforestation Flag-Off with NDLEA and Adamawa Ministry of Environment
Read MoreMANGRI, in collaboration with the Environmental Care Foundation (ECF), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Adamawa State Ministry of Environment, flagged off the Institutional Reforestation with Nutrition Integration Initiative at the NDLEA Barracks, Adamawa State.
The event was both successful and impactful, featuring knowledge-sharing sessions and strong commitments to a sustainable and greener future.
The Executive Director of MANGRI, on behalf of the Savanna Research Centre, donated 12 seedlings of moringa and black currant as part of the institutional reforestation efforts.
Other civil society organizations (CSOs) also participated and were seen sharing moments with NDLEA officers, reflecting a spirit of collaboration and unity.
Say no to deforestation. Let’s plant more trees for a healthier environment.

Read MoreIn commemoration of World Refugee Day, the Executive Director of the Mara Ngorheme Regreen Initiative (MANGRI) spearheaded in collaboration with other CSOs, a special outreach activity focused on environmental sustainability and youth engagement. As part of the event, MANGRI distributed reusable water bottles to school children in an effort to reduce the widespread use of plastic sachet water, commonly known as "pure water," which contributes significantly to plastic pollution in local communities.
The event also paid tribute to displaced populations and vulnerable children, promoting cleaner, safer environments while advocating for climate action and community resilience
